Dansk Smykkekunst Jewellery is managed by husband and wife team, Christian and Malene Storm. Originally, the second generation family business began with the production of genuine silver jewellery in a basement in Copenhagen in 1971. Today the company designs fashion jewellery and accessories and strongly believes in the idea that all women should have the opportunity to wear a unique design at a reasonable price.
Of course it must be good business – but it should also be fun,” explains Malene, who is the company’s creative designer and her husband, Christian, is responsible for the daily operations. Inspiration comes mainly from the Scandinavian fashion scene and above all valuable contributions from our agents and distributors. “Our collections are influenced by a direct relationship with our customers.” In their spare time, the couple share an interest in horses. “We spend our spare time in the stables with our horses, and it’s a great contrast to the fashion industry and the fast pace of everyday life. It gives us an essential space for the creative process, ” explains Malene.
